Messaging API

The Messaging API allows an app to push messages, either in plain text or Mxit Markup format, directly to a Mxit user. The user must have already added your app to their contact list in order to receive the message.

Spooled delivery: These messages are spooled (stored) for delivery to offline Mxit users for 7 days. If the user signs into Mxit within 7 days after your app sent the message, they will receive the message. Otherwise the message is discarded.
